Though most of the recipes are under translation (available only in Russian) I've already translated some of them into English for you. Using them you have a wide opportunity to taste some simpliest Russian cooking at home.

  • CHICKEN SALAD

    1 lb. boneless chicken breast halves or thighs, 2 onions, 4 hard-boiled eggs, 4 pickled cucumbers, pickled mushrooms, 2 potatoes, mayonnaise

         Cut all these ingredients by layers:
     1. Cut the chicken in thin pieces.
     2. Cut onions in thin circles.
     3. Cover it with mayonnaise.
     4. Cut eggs in circles.
     5. Pickled mushrooms.
     6. Cover with mayonnaise.
     7. Cut potatoes in circles.
     8. Cut pickled cucumbers in circles.
     9. Cover with mayonnaise.
     10. Chicken.
     11. Cover with mayonnaise.

    KOREAN CARROT

    1 lb carrots, 2 onions, 3-5 cloves garlic, finely chopped, vinegar, black pepper, sugar

         Grate carrots and cover it with salt. Chop onions finely and fry it in a frying pan. Mix all ingredients and add vinegar, pepper and sugar.

    CARROT AND WALNUT SALAD

    1 lb carrots, 4 cloves garlic, 1/2 lb walnuts, finely chopped, salt, sugar, mayonnaise, lettuce leaves

         Grate carrots, pound garlic cloves, add chopped walnuts and mix it with salt, sugar and mayonnaise. Place lettuce leaves on the plate, cover them with salad and pour walnuts on the top.

    "VITAMIN" SALAD

    1/2 lb cabbage, 1/2 lb carrots, 1 apple, 1 onion, 1 red pepper, 1 small cucumber, 1 tomato, 1 radish, mayonnaise

         Chop cabbage; grate carrots, radish and apple; chop onion finely, and cut tomato, cucumber and pepper in thin pieces; season with mayonnaise.

    VEGETABLE SALAD

    2 boiled potatoes, 2 pickled cucumbers, 2 hard-boiled eggs, 4 beetroots, 4 medium carrots, 2 apples, 1 red pepper, mayonnaise, oil

         Grate all ingredients in layers:
    1. potato
    2. 1 egg
    3. 1 cucumber
    4. 2 carrots
    5. apple
    6. beetroot
    Dress some sunflower oil on top and add some mayonnaise.
    Then repeat all 6 layers and dress with oil and mayonnaise again.

    LOBIO

    brown beans
    Stuffing: walnuts, onion, garlic, parsley

         Put beans in the pan and soak in the boiling water for nighttime. Then add some water and cook till beans are ready. Add salt at the end of cooking. Don't pour out the water from the pan.
    All ingredients for stuffing grind in the mincing machine. Cool beans and mix them with the stuffing and add black ground pepper.

    BORSCHT
    (red-beet soup)

    1 onion finely chopped, 1 grated carrot, 1 chopped sweet pepper, 2-3 finely chopped cloves of garlic, 2 potatoes, cut in thin slices, 2-3 beet-roots, cabbage, chopped dill or parsley, tomatoes

         The preparation of this tasteful authentic Russian or Ukrainian soup is really simple.
    Fry onion, carrot, red pepper, garlic and dill/parsley in a frying pan. Chop beet and add it to the frying pan and cover with tomatoes (the more - the best) or some ketchup.
    Prepare meat broth and put potatoes in it. Chop cabbage and put it in the broth as well.
    Let it boil and put fried vegetables in the broth. Then cook it for 15 min more.

    BROTH WITH BAKED PASTA PUDDING

    meat broth, 1 onion, 2 eggs, pasta

         Boil pasta as usual. Add fried onion and eggs in it. Put this mixture in the pan and bake in the oven till it is ready. Then distribute it on the plates and pour a broth. Serve it with bread baked with cheese.
    (Mix some grated cheese with an egg, garlic and dill and put it on the pieces of bread. Then bake it in the oven for ~5 min.)

    AUBERGINE SOUP

    meat broth, 2 potatoes, cut in thin pices, 1 aubergine, 1 carrot, 1 onion, tomatoes, dill

         Put potato in the boiling meat broth. While it's cooiking, cut aubergine into cubes, grate carrot, chop onion and tomato finely. Fry all these vegetables in the frying pan. Then put them in the broth and cook for 10-15 min.

    PORK WITH SPAGHETTI

    spaghetti, 1 onion, 1/2 lb pork, 1/2 lb tomatoes without skin, 1/2 lb of grated cheese

         Boil spaghetti as usual, put them in the plate and pour sauce on top of it.
    SAUCE: fry finely chopped onion and tomatoes for 10 min and add salt and pepper. Fry thin sliced pork (don't cover the frying pan).

    FISH IN MILK

    fish, 1 onion, 2 carrots, 2 beet-roots, milk, butter, salt, pepper.

         Cut fish in pieces, add thinly sliced onion, carrots and beets. Put it into a pan and cover with milk + butter, black pepper, salt. Let it boil and cook for 30-40 min.

    SPAGHETTI A'LA CARBONARA*

    1 lb spaghetti, 2 eggs, 1/2 lb bacon, butter, grated cheese, onion, parsley, 1/2 glass white wine, salt, pepper

         Chop onion and bacon in thin slices and fry it in butter till they get brown colour. Then add white wine and let it slowly evaporate.
    Break eggs in the bowl and add cheese, finely chopped parsley and black pepper. Then cook spaghetti as usual and mix it with spaghetti. Distribute on the plates and put bacon on top.

    ROLLS WITH WHIPPED CREAM

    150 gr margarine, 1 glass water, 1 glass flour, 4-5 eggs, salt

         Put water together with margarine on fire on a pan and let margarine melt. Pour flour intensively and take off the fire. Let it stand for about 1 minute. Drive in eggs one by one. Use tablespoon to put dough on the baking tray. The result is better if you cook while the mixture is warm.
    Bake it in the oven for 35-40 min.
    When rolls are ready stuff them with whipped cream.

    ONION BAKE

    Dough:
    1/4 glass of flour, 1/4 tsp salt,125 gr margarine, 3 tbsp sour cream (we used natural yoghurt).
    Make dough and put it in the fridge for 3 hours.
    Stuffing:
    1kg onions cut in circles, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black ground pepper, 1/2 tsp of sugar

         Mix all ingredients and fry in the oil till brown colour. Then add 3 eggs, 1.5 glass of sour cream, 1/2 tsp salt and mix.
    Bake for 35 min.

    CURD BAKE

    Dough:
    300 gr flour, 200 gr margarine, 80 gr sugar, 2 yolk
    Stuffing:
    400 gr curd, 2 yolks, 4 whites of an egg, 200 gr sugar, raisings.

         Make a dough, put it on the baking tray as a thin layer. All ingredients for stuffing mix together and put it on the dough. Bake in the oven till the stuffing is ready.
